Hi, I’m Patty, and I’m glad you’re here. Reaching out for therapy isn’t always easy, especially when you’re trying hard to hold it all together but struggling internally. If you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, burned out, depressed, shut down, or disconnected.  Maybe something difficult has happened, the past is showing up in ways you didn’t expect, or you simply know you don’t want to keep feeling this way.

I strive to create a welcoming, down-to-earth space where you can feel safe sharing your story, even the messy parts, knowing that you, your experiences, and the resilience that has helped you get this far will be deeply respected.

I’m a Registered Social Worker and Certified EMDR Therapist who works individually with adults and teens navigating trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship and parenting challenges, stress, burnout, and life transitions. I have a special interest in helping adults heal from their own childhood experiences and understand how the past may still be influencing the way they feel, react, communicate, and connect with their partner and children.

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. Drawing from EMDR, Gottman Relationship Skills, and Attachment-Based Parenting, I help clients understand patterns that may no longer be serving them and heal what is underneath them.

At the heart of my work is the belief that we have an innate capacity to heal. EMDR is a structured, evidence-based therapy that can help reprocess difficult experiences that continue to cause distress in the present. When those experiences are successfully reprocessed, the memories don’t disappear, but they can lose their emotional intensity and no longer have the same power to dysregulate or derail you. This can free up emotional space to build confidence, strengthen relationships, manage present-day challenges, and focus more of your energy on the life you want to live. Clients often tell me they’re surprised by the clarity they gain through therapy and how much calmer they feel.

If you’re ready to begin, or simply wondering whether therapy or EMDR might be right for you, fill out the contact form to learn more about how I can help.
