I am a Registered Social Worker with the OCSWSSW. I currently hold a faculty appointment as an Assistant Clinical Professor (PT) in the Department of Psychiatry and Neurosciences at McMaster University. This includes direct teaching, curriculum development, the training of medical students and other mental health professionals. I have 25+ years experience working with a broad range of mental health issues, addiction, familial conflict and interpersonal difficulties, supporting individuals, couples and families with extensive complexities struggling with difficulties from stress, depression, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, and trauma. I am trained in Attachment-based Theory, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy. I use a collaborative approach ensuring clients are involved in the decision making process. I strive to provide therapy helping clients identify their goals while incorporating evidence-based interventions that promote self-awareness. I provide individual psychotherapy, marriage/couples counselling and family therapy. My practice offers in person therapy as well as virtual/Zoom sessions.
