Reduced Fee Counselling
We are offering reduced fee services for up to $50 per session. These sessions are with dedicated Intern Therapists (Masters of Counselling Psychology or Masters Social Work students), who are supervised by experienced registered clinicians. Our Intern Therapists are clinicians in training and equipped to support individuals with a range of common challenges. Please reach out to our client care team to determine suitability.
Meet the Practicum Supervisor
Jody HicksClinical Supervisor and Manager of Mental Health Services, MA, Registered Psychotherapist, CCC

Jody Hicks, MA, RP, CCC is the Clinical Supervisor and Manager of Mental Health Services at Dalton Associates. She brings with her over 15 years of dedicated and varied clinical experience working in the field of Mental Health and Wellness. Jody’s experience expands over a variety of settings from immediate support and crisis work, community-based addictions programs, supporting graduate level students within an academic institution, and private practise.
She is a full professional member of the CCPA (Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association) and the CRPO (College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario).
Jody has a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado – she graduated in 2006. Her degree has a special focus in Transpersonal Counselling Psychology with a concentration in Wilderness Therapy. She has a high level of comfort and skill when working with complex cases.
Her trauma informed therapeutic orientation encompasses body-centered approaches, emotion focused psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, contemplative interventions, creative exploration, transpersonal psychology, and developmental awareness as supports along the healing path.

Kia Samson-SammetIntern Therapist, BA, MA, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Kia Samson-Sammet (she/her) is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). She completed her Master of Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. Kia also completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Guelph, where she majored in Psychology and minored in Child, Youth, and Family Studies. Kia was a student intern at Dalton Associates and is continuing to offer services under the supervision of Jody Hicks, RP. She has also completed ASIST Applied Suicide Interventions Skills training. Kia comes from a unique cultural background being Estonian, German, Métis and Acadian. She was raised by two psychotherapists and feels she comes by this profession naturally. Kia is passionate about working with adults and adolescents who are experiencing anxiety, depression, perfectionism, low self-esteem, relational difficulties, family conflict, life changes, and school-related or work-related stress. Kia provides compassionate therapeutic support tailored to each unique individual and their needs. Kia offers online counselling services. She has an integrative approach to therapy primarily informed by principles of client-focused therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, self-compassion, strengths-based, attachment, emotion-focused therapy, Gestalt therapy, and narrative therapy. For her, the therapeutic relationship is of the utmost importance. Kia aims to create a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can open up and feel validated, heard, and accepted. Kia’s heartfelt wish for all clients is simple yet profound. She hopes that through their therapeutic journey, they discover inner strengths and learn the tools necessary to navigate life’s complexities with resilience and authenticity. Her aim for each person is that they leave feeling empowered and equipped to face their challenges, fostering a future where they can embrace life with renewed confidence and purpose. Kia feels honoured to be present and support clients on their journey.
Megan GancaszIntern Therapist, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Megan (She/Her) is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and offers online counselling services for adults under the supervision of Jody Hicks, RP. She is currently finishing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree at Yorkville University and holds a degree in Psychology with a minor of Anthrozoology at the University of Windsor. Megan uses a person-centered and culturally sensitive approach which places the individual at the heart of the process and ensures therapy is respectful and inclusive to each person\’s background, values, and identity. Her practice is integrative and incorporates strategies from cognitive-behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment-based therapy, mindfulness, strength-based and solution-focused therapy. She strives to create a warm, supportive and non-judgmental environment where individuals can feel safe to explore their own thoughts, emotions, and experiences at their own pace. Whether it\’s managing stress, anxiety, depression, relational concerns, difficult life transitions, or overcoming challenges, Megan offers a collaborative, respectful and goal-oriented approach to help individuals tap into their own strengths, resources, and foster self-awareness and empowerment.
