Since obtaining her Masters’s Degree, she is profoundly inspired by the resiliency of the human spirit and its ability to heal. To improve the quality of life for her clients, L.A. draws on years of experience working with First Responders and victims of crime. She has worked with a large police service both as an officer, full-time Employee Assistance Counselor, Peer Support Team Lead, Critical Incident Stress Assistant Coordinator and Educator. She has added experience in a busy hospital setting in Emergency, CCU and Palliative Care, with patients and staff through the Chaplaincy Program. L.A. specializes in Anxiety, Depression, Stress, First Responder/Military OSI, PTSD and WSIB work-related injuries. She uses a variety of therapies tailored to meet each client’s specific needs such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Compassionate Inquiry and Family Psychoeducation and Support. Her private practice is located in a Trauma Recovery Centre in Barrie. She is presently available for virtual sessions.
