Laura Williamson (She/Her)

Hello, my name is Laura Williamson, and I am a lifelong resident of Lambton County. I am a Registered Social Worker with nearly 25 years of experience in the field. I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Social Work from the University of Windsor. Additionally, I graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. I enjoy working with families, teenagers, and couples. My experience includes helping individuals navigate relationship challenges, stress, trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and establishing healthy boundaries. Furthermore, I have both personal and professional experience working closely with First Responders and their family members. I was the partner of a First Responder for 13 years, and we have continued co-parenting together for many years since. I have also been part of the Encompas Team since the program’s inception. My friends and colleagues often describe me as down-to-earth, warm, approachable, and someone with a good sense of humor. I take a client-centered approach while incorporating a combination of therapeutic modalities.
