Kia Samson-Sammet (She/Her)
This therapist practices under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist or Registered Psychological Associate. If you are seeking supervised psychological services, an initial appointment must first be made with the supervisor to confirm appropriateness of fit.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and provide virtual counselling services to individuals across Ontario. I completed my Master of Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I also completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Guelph, where I majored in Psychology and minored in Child, Youth, and Family Studies. I have participated in additional trainings, such as Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). I was raised by two psychotherapists and feel I came to this work naturally. I offer compassionate, collaborative therapeutic support that is tailored to each individual and their needs. My integrative approach is informed by client-centred therapy, mindfulness, self-compassion, strengths-based and attachment perspectives, as well as somatic, internal family systems, and emotion-focused therapies. At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I believe meaningful change begins in a space where clients can feel safe, comfortable, connected, and understood. I hope that, through our work together, clients come to recognize their inner strengths and develop tools to navigate life’s challenges with greater resilience, self-trust, and authenticity. It is an honour to walk alongside and support clients on their therapeutic journey.
Wednesdays and Thursdays 10 am-7 pm
