The many experiences help her to better understand the role that diversity, identity, culture and environment plays in the face of adversity, and the layers and complexes that frequently intersect. She practises from a compassionate and collaborative approach, with an emphasis on working towards client driven goals through self awareness and behavioural modification. Kayla has learnt that trauma is repeatedly at the core of any human suffering and the relationship with ourselves largely influences how we navigate our world and interactions with others.
