Cindy offers Counselling/Psychotherapy services. Cindy provides therapy to individual and families including: children, adults, parenting and family therapy and couple. Her clinical style is eclectic using various clinical tools including: CBT, DBT, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, ACT, Trauma. She is currently registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses and the College of Registered Psychotherapist Ontario. She practices in two office locations in Hamilton and St. Catharines. She is able to provide community onsite crisis and trauma support to the community. She has been providing services to remote first nation communities in northern Ontario. Cindy McClure graduated from the Mack School of Nursing, earned a B.A. from the University of Guelph, and has a Master’s Degree in Behavioural Studies from the University of Chicago. In 1980 Cindy completed her American Nursing Boards and is licensed to practice throughout the United States and Ontario. From 1974 to 1982 Cindy gained extensive nursing practical and supervisory experience in Canada and the United States. She worked primarily in the field of psychiatric therapy. During this time, she was involved in developing programmed clinical intervention techniques for both in-patient and out-patient units, providing individual and family therapy, diagnostic testing. From 1983 to the present, Cindy works as a clinical therapist providing services to families, individuals, and couples. In 1988 Cynthia became a program manager for a regional children & adolescent mental health centre. During this time, she was responsible for the development and implementation of clinical interventions and protocols using best-practised evidence practice treatment modalities. From 1990 to the present, Cindy has provided consultation services to long-term care psycho-geriatric centres in the areas of behaviour management, team building and conflict resolution. From 2003 to present Cindy has provided clinical service to Dalton Associates for a variety of clinical services. In 2020 Cindy began working with first nations peoples in remote communities.
