Arzu offers Psychological services. Arzu is a Registered Psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She is licensed to practice in the areas of Clinical and Counselling Psychology and works with adults (18+ years) facing a wide range of difficulties. Located in the heart of Mississauga and with over 25 years of experience, Arzu offers a confidential and welcoming environment where you can feel at ease when sharing your thoughts and feelings. Arzu’s main therapeutic approach is Cognitive-behavioural and Attachment-focused. She has formal training in various evidence-based treatments including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), trauma-focused interventions. Arzu is experienced in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, depression, OCD, complex trauma, grief, eating disorders, psychosis, borderline personality disorder and relationship challenges. She also provides psychological treatment and diagnostic assessment services for psychological/emotional functioning, personality assessment, intellectual/cognitive abilities, assessment of ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Arzu holds a Master of Science degree in Health Psychology from University College London (England) and an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Bogazici University (Turkey). Arzu also has post-graduate Certificates in Adult Mental Health, Children’s Mental Health, and Assessment and Treatment of Children and Adolescents from the University of Toronto. Arzu has also completed the Advanced Certificate program in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy from University of Toronto at OISE. Arzu is also trained in various trauma intervention approaches. She is a Level 2 Advanced CBT-T.E.A.M therapist by Dr. David Burns, and she has advanced training in Image Transformation Therapy (ImTT) by Dr. Robert Miller. She is also an Attachment and Trauma Integration Clinician, trained at the Attachment and Trauma Treatment Centre for Healing (ATTCH). Most recently, Arzu has completed extensive training in Attachment-focused Adult Psychotherapy. Arzu is passionate about her work as a clinician and is dedicated to helping her clients overcome challenges. Having worked with hundreds of clients across the GTA, Arzu is sensitive and non-judgemental towards cultural, religious, gender and sexual differences. She is a proud mother of three children, ages 11, 17 and 22. In her leisure time, Arzu enjoys cooking, gardening, reading, playing with her beagle, and doing jigsaw puzzles.
